Volunteers

Beautiful Minds encourages people in our community with a lived experience of mental health issues to become trauma-informed, trained storytellers!

Potential volunteers are people who have experienced a mental health issue and want to share their story of hope and recovery with others.  During our two-day, trauma-informed training sessions, volunteers learn more about general mental health, learn how to write their personal stories, and develop their public speaking skills. Volunteers are also encouraged to attend our monthly sharing meetings to meet new speakers, share story updates, revisions, and speaking experiences.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with the Beautiful Minds program, please download and submit the Beautiful Minds Volunteer Training Application as well as a police check valid within three months of submission. If you have questions or would like more information, please connect with Program Coordinator, Marcey Gray.
